This is a full matching numbers 1965 Corvette Convertible in a desirable Rally Red (code UU) with a super rare White / Red interior (code 443) with a white convertible top. The colors are correct and original - they match the factory trim tag. It retains its born-with features including; the desirable
L-79 327/350 HP high performance small block V-8 engine and its M20 wide-ratio 4-speed transmission and positraction - all with matching numbers and correct date codes. Additional factory options include Soft Ray tinted wind shield glass, original teak / wood steering wheel, power brakes - with modern Wilwood upgrades, power steering and knock-off wheels with white-wall tires, original AM/FM radio - with upgraded iPod connectivity, full rear-exiting exhaust system, and believed to have only 63,000 miles from new - (but unfortunately not completely documented.) The underside is incredibly clean showing no rust, no frame damage and recently replaced suspension rubber all the way around - and modern rack and pinion steering added, as well as new exhaust. The car also has its original jack and lug wrench, as well as its proper spare on an original K/O wheel.
The car received a full frame-off restoration in its original Rally Red 13 years ago and it is
stunning - a powerful presence. The motor was rebuilt at the same time - with less than 15k miles since the rebuild. The car starts, runs and drives beautifully with no unusual noises, rattles, smoke or any other issues. The interior is also completely new - and is stunning in it's rare white / red!
Tires are newer white wall radials, further contributing to it’s sure-footed yet nimble handling characteristics for spirited drives, and its quiet full rear-exiting exhaust system has a serious rumble without breaking your ear drums! This is a gorgeous car in a rare and exciting color combination and driving it is a tremendous motoring experience!
